Elias is an experienced dispute resolution and litigation lawyer with nearly a decade of experience in private practice. His expertise spans complex disputes across various commercial areas of practice, including corporations, insolvency, banking and finance, property, and equity. Elias regularly represents professional service providers, insolvency practitioners, and large businesses in the County Court and Supreme Court of Victoria, as well as the Federal Court of Australia.

Elias holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Accounting He also wrote an undergraduate thesis on the judicial development of the doctrine of unconscionable dealings. Additionally, he has completed the Advanced Certification in Insolvency with the Australian Restructuring and Insolvency Association (ARITA). Elias is an alum of Leo Cussen Centre for Law, having completed the GDLP with Leo Cussen prior to his admission to practice. During his time at Leo Cussen, Elias had a particular interest in advocacy, transactions, and commercial topics, and has fond memories of his experiences with us at Leo.

Currently, Elias is the principal of his own practice (Rizks Law Firm Pty Ltd/Insolvit | www.rizks.com.au | www.insolvit.com.au), having previously honed his skills at specialist boutique and national commercial litigation firms. Additionally, Elias is a committee member of the Insolvency Law Committee in the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
Achievements/Special Interests
Elias also provides in-house counsel and commercial law advisory services for businesses, with a particular focus on leveraging technology to enhance productivity and legal service delivery for clients. He has a particular interest in business development and projected delivery, which Elias advocates to be a crucial skill in operating a law firm of any scale. He has been involved in various tender and RFP processes, showcasing his ability to secure and manage significant projects combined with his ordinary skill set in law.
